
Braintree District Museum
The brief
Braintree District Museum conserves and celebrates the history of Braintree and its surrounding areas, which just so happens to be Jasmineʼs home town. The museum required a series of brand marks to update their brand, which they felt was not personal enough to their museum and itʼs heritage.

History meets modernity
Jasmine worked with the museum to create a pair of stylised illustrations to represent their victorian buildings, which are an extremely important part of the museum’s history. These illustrations were used in the brand mark designs alongside a sans serif typeface, to enable the logos to be used for a variation of purposes at many differing sizes. The designs needed to work together and sit comfortably alongside each other, but also be strong as standalone icons for the different sectors of the museum. Jasmine applied the new brand style to their education programme design, featuring the logo’s rich blue colour palette and the introduction of a modern serif typeface to keep the feel educational but friendly.
